The Boot of Legends is back. What legends, you ask? Ronaldinho…Cesc Fabregas…Diego Maradona…all these incredible world-class players have worn a version of these boots at one point or another. Doesn’t scream quality to you yet? Let’s dive in if you’re still skeptical of these great soccer cleats.

The Nike Tiempo Legend series rivals the Adidas Copa Mundial in terms of being an icon to the soccer world and for good reason. One of the most important features on the Legend III is the use of Kangaroo leather all over the upper. What does that mean for you? Essentially, you’ll get a custom fit boot that’s highly durable. The boot is designed to mirror the shape of your foot, so you’ll already be getting instant comfort. If your foot is a little snug in places after first trying on these bad boys, no problem. The leather will stretch out to make sure you get a shoe that fits your feet. It’s really an all around dependable material that can survive in nearly any weather condition. The outsole features classic conical studs not seen too often on modern boots. Rather, it’s a classic design that will give you classic performance. The sole is made of lightweight TPU and has a forefoot flex groove so your foot fits nice and snug with each step. The addition of bladed studs help give you increased traction for quick turns and movement as you dart around the pitch. The bladed studs also disperse the pressure, so all your weight is not focused solely on these classic conical studs. Finally, the midsole is rather impressive, too. A high performance molded sockliner creates an euphoric feeling and never caused me discomfort throughout testing. Poron cushioning helps you feel like you’re stepping on air, too. Really, it’s a versatile boot that can be used at almost any position, giving player’s reliable performance, power, speed, and agility in one tidy and classic package.

The Team Red colorway implemented on the Legend is really a love it or hate it, depending on what you wear with the cleats. It’s a great looking cleat if you’ve got the attire to match it. It goes with more than you would think, if you are skeptical. I know I was. As long as you’ve got relatively matching shorts with the shoes, you should be all set. In the end, you have a classic-designed shoe that is durable, high performing, and affordable. If you’re a versatile player, it’s really a terrific boot.
