Poor Carlos Vela was sent flying or’ the sideline this weekend as Real Sociedad battle Sporting Gijon and managed to absolutely wallop the poor linesman in the process. Vela’s team mates demanded a yellow for the offending Gijonite, and got nothing, but its good to see the linesman was a bit more durable, or less prone to histrionics than Vela.
