Premier League season in full swing, Tottenham fans will be hoping for another good finish in the world’s most prestigious league. Fans looking for new gear to rock while watching the spurs, look no further than this new Tottenham jersey from Puma.
Style: The Tottenham Away Jersey is light purple, which makes it much different than the navy away kit from years past. White trim accents the collar and sleeves, giving it a classy look despite the light purple color. Numerous clubs have been experimenting with new jerseys, and this gives players and fans a chance to wear the Tottenham crest with a new look. I really like the purple color and I think it will do well in the store. Mesh vertical stripes give a two-toned purple design that looks great. Woven Tottenham badge, puma logo and team sponsor Aurasma appear on the chest. Other than the unseen purple color, there’s nothing too crazy with the design, looks great.
Fit: This jersey is lightweight and comfortable. The mesh stripes in the jersey should make it breathe very well, keeping the sweat out of the jersey and keeping you cool. The woven badge on the extremely thin polyester material makes it protrude a bit on the inside of the shirt, which may cause rubbing. This could be resolved by wearing a shirt underneath the jersey, but I think after continuous washing it should become less abrasive. The jersey fits true to size for the most part, with the only difference being that the sleeves are slightly shorter than a typical jersey from my experience.
Overall: For Tottenham fans this may be your only chance to grab the Away kit for the 2011-12 season. The light purple jersey you see may not stick around for years to come, and will be great to add to your closet full of spurs gear. Definitely a recommended buy, and its only $74.99 at SoccerPro.com
