Home / Soccer Fans / Preston North End Goalie Scores from Goal Kick…Saves a Draw for Home Side

Preston North End goalie Iain Turner may not have been famous outside of the Preston ground before now, but after scoring this effort from his own 6 yard box, I imagine he’ll get a few views on Youtube. Its a truly inspired strike as Turner spots the opposing keeper a mile off his line and hoofs the ball off his adipower Predators to catch him wrong footed on the bounce at the death of the match. The home fans understandably erupted in riotous joy as he saved a draw, and I’m relatively certain this is a day that will be remembered in a song or two.
