The Portland Timbers kicked off their inaugural MLS season last night in style wit ha 4-2 victory over perpetual no-hopers the Chicago Fire, but the moment most people remember from last night has to do with their mascot. That’s right people, Timber Joey, the mascot of the men in Portland Timbers jerseys, is a lumberjack, and he’s awesome. You can see him saw a tree up on the sideline below while the game goes on in the background. I just can;t believe they got a permit for this.
