Home / EPL / League Two Reject Sends Alex Ferguson DVD of Himself in Action, Gets Trial at Man Utd

Max Lonsdale, who was released by Macclesfield town last season, and then sent along a DVD of himself in action to Sir Alex Ferguson at Manchester United, has been given a trial at Old Trafford. This incredible story began when Lonsdale reached out to Sir Alex at an event and handed him a copy of the DVD of himself playing in a League match. Ferguson passed the tape on to the reserves coaching staff, and the youngster was promply given a week-long trial.

That trial stretched into two weeks, and now Lonsdale has played in two reserve matches and looks to have secured a place in a Manchester United jersey. The video has since gone viral on Youtube, and you can see it below.

Great story, and he actually looks quite good.
