Home / Soccer Fans / El Hadji Diouf….Mommar Gadhafi’s Good Friend

El Hadji Diouf isn’t know for tact, or sense, or really anything nice at all, in fact he known for being a loudmouthed moron, but this maybe the worst thing he’s done yet. He recently gave an interview to a Libyan newspaper, which serves as a mouthpiece for Gaddafi’s regime, and according to Scottish paper, The Record, is quoted as saying:

“Colonel Gadhafi is a man I have always admired. I am telling the truth. I know him, and I know his son Saif well. They are my friends. I do not honestly know what is really happening in Libya at the moment but it must be very hard for Gaddafi and his family.”

Now beyond the obvious stupidity of saying something like this when you play for a team in Scotland, where various bits of the jetliner Gadhafi’s agent blew up in in the 1980’s fell to earth, one as to wonder as to why Diouf met with anyone with the last name Gaddafi. Furthermore, I wonder what the people of the towns and villages Gaddafi’s men are burning to the ground would say about this. Oh and did I mention, Diouf’s friend, Saif Gadhafi is in direct commend of them?

Oh well, I guess when Colonel Gaddifi’s in The Hague, on trial for war crimes, we know where he can get at least one character witness.
