Oh the places they may go!
As we have said many times before, all of us at SoccerPro.com are fans first. We are lucky enough to know some people that have some connections in Europe – and these are just a few of the things that have been rumored to happen over the summer.
Let’s get the big fish out of the way right now. It is already being reported that Ronaldinho is on his way to AC Milan, to pair up with Kaka – and that is what our insider is telling us as well. But I think most fans would enjoy seeing Ronny in the EPL. Could he go to Chelsea? Absolutely! Since Frank Lampard has already purchased a home at Barca – let the rumors swirl. But we are hearing it is Deco for Lampard and not Ronaldinho. What about Liverpool – I don’t think that system (see Benitez, Rafa) fits Ronny. The one thing AC, Liverpool and Chelsea have in common – Adidas clubs. How about Arsenal? If I’m Wenger and the owners of the Gunners – NO WAY!! I do not want Fabregas, the best young central midfielder in the world learning from a superstar that allows himself to get out of shape way too easily. The dream scenario – Manchester United. Can you imagine? Ronaldo, Rooney, Tevez and Ronaldinho? No way could a locker room hold all those egos in place. Man U and Arsenal are Nike clubs – but the cold climate just wouldn’t fit him. We have also heard Manchester City and Inter Milan.
Where will Ronaldinho be in the fall of 2008 – AC Milan
Lampard – Barcelona
Deco – Chelsea
There is talk of a major swap of 2 of the top 10 strikers in the world.
Ibrahimovic – Real Madrid
Ruud Van Nistlerooy – Inter
We have also heard the big fish of 2007, Fernando Torres, could be on the move again. Liverpool’s finances are not on the up and up – and he could be on his way to Italy. I’d love for Manchester United to sell Tevez and pick this guy up – but I also can see Torres ending up back in Spain at Real Madrid.
Torres – AC Milan
I think everyone has heard the rumor of Drogba headed to Inter Milan – and why you ask? Well, the special one, Jose Mourinho is headed to Inter – and everyone knows Drogba is the son he never had.
Drogba - Inter
Schevchenko – AC Milan
Thierry Henry has not fit in well at all at Barcelona. From what we heard, he left his wife and child back in England for a good-looking model in Spain. The model dumps the all-time goal scorer in Arsenal history – and of course he starts missing the ex and his daughter. We had heard for a while that Henry was headed to the MLS and the new expansion franchise in Seattle – no way that would happen, could it? But I have never seen an ounce of emotion out of Henry – and he definitely looks like he really could care less if his team wins or loses. And because of that I am going to predict a dark horse destination for the French striker. If Sven stays:
Henry – Manchester City
van der Vaart – Juventus
Gareth Barry – Liverpool
I’m sure I will get none of these correct – but it is always fun to start the speculation. If you have heard anything or even have a dream scenario: please let us know.

What about Flamini to Juventus or AC Milan and Hleb to Inter?

What about Gattuso to ManU - he has been linked to the EPL and ManU before. We just read that one today.

I could see that, but do Man U really need another holding MF with Carrick and Hargreaves already there?
I like the rumor about Moutinho and Veloso heading to Man U from Porto. It’s been rumored that a deal is already in place like last summer’s Anderson and Nani scoop.

Word is out that Flamini has just signed a contract with AC Milan. Is this the writing on the wall for Gattuso’s exit? Good signing for Milan.

We now have seen that Barcelona is preparing an offer for Cesc Fabregas - cash and one or more of the following players - Henry, Eto’o, Deco & Gudjohnsen. A new question to answer - would you take an offer of Henry AND Eto’o for Fabregas??

I would say no, because while it gives you an incredible forward line with Adebayor and Van Persie, you have still not replaced the gigantic hole in your midfield, especially now that Flamini is gone. Deco also doesn’t seem like a good fit for Arsenal for him to be thrown into that mix.
