Home / Soccer Fans / Beautiful Argentinan “Ghost Goal” Disallowed by Incompetent Ref

Gonzalo Bazan scored this beauty in the Argentinian second division during a match last week, but thanks to hapless or corrupt refs the goal was disallowed. Presiding official Luis Alvarez defended his decision saying:

“We did not give the goal because we did not see it. We are not allowed to talk further.”

However, if you look at the video you can clearly see the ball bounces out off the back of the net as Bazan struck the living daylights out of it. I’m no sure what Alvarez was thinking, I’d really love to hear his rationale for how the ball managed to move that way with the keeper so far off his line.

So what do think, was it match fixing, or did might Sepp reach out from Zurich to give us something to talk about.
