Diadora has become a somewhat forgotten brand lately, with the emergence of the two horse race in
soccer footwear between Nike and Adidas. However, if you are looking for a good quality, affordable,
and nice looking cleat, the Diadora Maracana RTX 12 is the perfect answer.

Style

These cleats are a pretty tame color scheme with all the bright cleats on the market these days. These
are primarily black with a neon green accent around the Diadora logo and with the stripes on the front
and insole of the cleat. The cleat is made out of water-resistant kangaroo leather for a superior feel on
your foot as well as providing great touch on the ball. The instep of the cleat is textured for the ability
to grip the ball on shots and crosses for superior placement. The tongue has an elastic band very similar
to early predator models in order to keep the tongue down while playing for a clean striking surface.
The bottom of the cleat has double action inserts positioned in the Fiber Tech lasting board in order to
provide shock absorption in the heel area and enhanced rebound in the forefoot area.

Feel

The feel of this cleat is typical of a soft pair of kangaroo leather soccer shoes. This provides a great feel on your foot that is soft and comfortable. These cleats run pretty true in width and length. The heel on
this cleat is very sturdy as well to provide good support. Furthermore, the double action inserts provide
a very sturdy and supporting bottom to the cleat so they will not break down quickly. Another nice
feature is the cloth material around the heel and middle of the cleat to allow your foot to breathe which
is a problem with some all leather cleats.

Overall

This is a great cleat for the money. At $59.84, you will not be able to find a better quality shoe that is
made out of water resistant kangaroo leather. The touch and feel are both good, the only thing going
against this shoe is the fact that it is not made by Nike and Adidas which causes it to get overlooked. If
you’re looking for a low cost, quality cleat this is the perfect option for you.
