Home / EPL / Umbro Manchester City Home Jersey 2012/13 Review

Manchester City was able to get the better of the city rivals Manchester United, and won the English Premier League last season. Roberto Mancini and company will be looking to once again win the EPL trophy as well as winning the Champions League. This season they will be wearing new home and away jerseys. Today, we are going to focus on the Umbro Manchester City home jersey.

Style

The Manchester City home jersey is, like always, light blue and looks great. The accent color on this jersey is black. The black is used on the collar to provide a nice contrast in colors. The Manchester City crest is stitched on the left chest with three stars stitched above it. The crest and the stars are all black as well, which is a difference from last season’s jerseys. Etihad Airways remains the team’s sponsor and is pressed on the front of the jersey. The addition of a collar as well as only using light blue and black adds a bit of style and class to this jersey and the team crest looks great.

Feel

This jersey is made of 100 percent polyester and is both comfortable and durable. It seems as though every jersey Umbro releases is incredibly soft and this one is no different. Sometimes when collars are put on jerseys, the collar can be both annoying and uncomfortable. That is not the case with this jersey. The collar looks great and adds some style, but is still comfortable. This jersey runs true to size, so you do not have to worry about sizing issues when ordering.

Overall

If you are a Manchester City fan, you should love the style of this new home jersey. It maintains the classic look of Manchester City, while adding a bit of style. This season should be interesting for Manchester City. Now that they are at the top, everyone will be looking to beat the reigning EPL champions. It will be fun to see if City is able to repeat as champions of the EPL and possibly win the Champions League. This jersey is currently available at SoccerPro.com, so head over and gear up for the upcoming season.
