Colombian singer Shakira has had her music banned from the Bernebau by Real Madrid as she is now dating Gerard Pique, of arch rival Barcelona. Apparently, Shakira and her lying hips will have to wait until the inevitable break of her romance before they will be welcome back on the white side of Madrid. But it seems a bit harsh to ban her music, I think it’d be much more fitting to play her songs whenever Real Madrid score against Barcelona. I can see it now, Ronaldo scores a goal from 15 yards out, and that god awful World Cup song starts playing.
I’m not sure if this will ease the pain of the 5-0 destruction of their side by the man in a Messi jersey and company, but its good to know that the rivalry is alive and well; even if is bringing some other people down with them. And I’m sure the annual Barca jersey bonfire at the Bernebau will have a fell Shakira albums on top to keep the fire going strong this year.
