Home / EPL / Ronaldo to Balotelli: “Speak less, play more”

Cristiano Ronaldo has weighted in on the latest and loudest striker to hit the English Premier League, Mario Balotelli, saying he should “speak less, play more.” The statement, which is sure to get a reaction from Balotelli (which I am looking forward to), is is reference to his recent statements about other players.

It seems in this case, Balotelli recent assertion that Wayne Rooney isn’t even the best striker in Manchester, let alone the world, got Ronaldo going as he was clearly annoyed at what he saw was a cheap shot against a former colleague. Balotelli has also recently said he doesn’t know who Jack Wilshire is, which was particularly awkward as he said it while accepting a best young player award, for which Wilshire was runner up, and was in the room at the time. He has also come out swinging against his former club, and managers in Italy, but most recently he has said that Manchester City have the best strike team in Europe now that Ezin Dzeko is on board. He thinks their even better than the blaugrana of the Barcelona jersey, and especially Lionel Messi.

Oh the football feuding…so much fun for all who love sarcasm and witty, often off color remarks.
