The game of the weekend will feature Manchester United versus Liverpool on Saturday, February 11. This fixture will take place at Old Trafford and could see the rematch between Luis Suarez and Patrice Evra. As many of you remember, Luis Suarez received an eight-match ban for racially abusing Evra the last time they met. The game this weekend is sure to be entertaining and it could be interesting to see the match-up between Suarez and Evra.

Manchester United come into this game following a thrilling match against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge. In that game, Manchester United completed an incredible come back with three goals in the second half to earn a 3-3 draw. Even though they lost two points in this game, they must be pleased with the second half performance and hope to bring that momentum into this game. At Old Trafford this season, Manchester United is 9-1-2, outscoring their opponents 35-14.

Liverpool currently sits seventh in the table and has more wins away from Anfield this season. However, they have struggled for goals on the road scoring only 14 times in 12 matches. Liverpool fans are hoping the addition of Suarez back into the lineup could produce more goals for the side. In the 17 games he has played in this season, Suarez has scored 5 goals as well as 1 assist. Suarez is also expecting to get added motivation from the United supporters on Saturday. Suarez spoke about the match Saturday saying, “I do know Man United fans are going to try to make me feel uncomfortable. But I have to tell them-they are going to spur me on if they whistle at me.” It looks as though Suarez is going to be ready to play in a hostile environment and hoping to help his side find the back of the net.

The game could have massive implications for both sides. At this moment, Manchester United is two points behind leaders Manchester City and looking to keep the pressure on their city rivals. Liverpool, on the other hand, is four points behind Chelsea for the last Champions League spot. Liverpool have not made the Champions League the past two seasons, so it would be huge for the club and new management to make it to the top tournament for club teams. This game is sure to be exciting and it will be interesting to see if Manchester United maintains their momentum and if Liverpool can rebound from their nil-nil draw to Tottenham and a shortened week to prepare.
