Home / Soccer Fans / Manchester City to pay £27m fee for Dzeko

According to multiple sources, including Mirror Football and the Sun, Wolfsburg have agreed to a £27m fee for 24-year-old Bosnian international hitman Edin Dzeko, who has been constantly linked out of Germany for the past year or so. Manchester City have been the leaders in acquiring the prolific striker’s services since he expressed his desire to play at a bigger club several months back and it appears they have a great chance to get their man. The Eastlands club now must agree to personal terms for Dzeko, which will reportedly be a five-year deal worth £100,000-a-week. His arrival in Manchester has been reported by not so reliable sources, so we will not confirm that he has touched down in England.

However, Dzeko and his agent will apparently touchdown by Thursday to undergo a medical and pen the final personal terms with the club. City will have an absurd amount of attacking options available, so it’s expected this will signal Emmanuel Adebayor, Roque Santa Cruz, and Shuan Wright-Phillips all departing the Manchester City jersey for newer pastures, hopefully filled with more playing time.
