Home / Soccer Fans / Cheerleaders in European Soccer? Depressing but True

Well, America has finally imposed its will of having cheerleaders at sporting events, specifically soccer, into the mindsets of at least some Europeans. Specifically, one of Italy’s most successful and oldest clubs, Juventus. Yes, cheerleaders were present at some soccer matches prior to the Turin-based club adopting this idea, with some South American clubs having women cheer for some time, often times not in the most appropriate ways. Luckily, it has stayed out of the best football clubs for a while. Until, unfortunately, now. These ladies put on their customized Juventus gear, and with much chagrin to the actual fans of the game, cheered during Juve’s 2-1 win over Bari, dancing in the stands during the length of the match. Ready to meet the Juve cheer squad? Here you go.

Well, take this one however you want. Personally, I don’t think many people will in the Juve stands will appreciate the extra cheers. Isn’t the stadium loud enough as is? Debate time. Go.
