Barcelona gear varies from the outrageous to the classic and sleek: this jacket will be the latter. A simplistic N98 high quality jacket will be donned by Lionel Messi, Xavi, Iniesta, and the gang for the upcoming campaign and it’s a change of pace from some of the bright outrageous designs in the past, love it or hate it.
The jacket is black all over, similar to the away jersey Barcelona will don on their away fixtures for the upcoming season. It’s a professional look that is quite frankly surprising given the away kit from last year. At any rate, it’s sleek and looks nice. Gray accenting around the neck and down the sides of the arms make for a bit of a dressed up look. It’ a full-zip jacket that’s a bit snug around, especially out the bottom, the arms, and the neck. This helps keep the frigid air out of your jacket and off your skin. The back of the jacket features a huge FCB lettering that looks a bit odd but I can work on loving it since the team is just incredible year after year. Plus the jacket is terrifically comfortable.
Th comfort starts with with the double-knit polyester material that is both highly durable and warm. The versatility of the jacket makes it light enough to wear as a fall jacket or warm enough to wear in treacherous conditions such as having ice on the pitch. Pique cotton fabric lines the inside of the jacket to upgrade the warmth factor, which is nice. It feels great against your skin and just feels like how a track jacket should. To round out the jacket, full-zip pockets sit on either side of the jacket and keep your belongings (field gloves, perhaps) nice and secure in the jacket. A yellow Nike swoosh rounds out the simple design along with a Barcelona crest. Overall, it’s a bit pricey, but if you have the money, it’s certainly worth a look, especially if you like the away jersey for this year.
