Home / La Liga / Adidas Real Madrid Home Jersey Review – 2012/13

Real Madrid are coming off a successful season where they were able to claim the La Liga title in Jose Mourinho’s second season as manager. Fans in Madrid are hoping that they have finally reversed roles with rival Barcelona and can now start collecting trophies again. The one trophy that Real Madrid are hoping to claim next season is the Champions League trophy, and they will be chasing that dream while wearing some great looking new jerseys.

Style

Even though the accent colors change from year, the predominant home color for Real Madrid is white, and this remains the same with the new Adidas Real Madrid home jersey . The all-white design is sleek and looks great. The gold accent on last year’s jersey looked alright, but gold is never my favorite color to see on a jersey. Luckily, this jersey has gone away from gold and instead opted for navy blue for the three stripes down the sleeves and the around the collar and sleeve cuffs. Adidas also have a thin, light blue trim around the collar and sleeve cuffs that looks great. To give added authenticity, the Real Madrid badge is stitched on the left chest with the Adidas logo stitched on the right chest and Bwin pressed on the center of the jersey. One last detail that looks great is the badge on the left sleeve. To mark 110 years as a club, Adidas has put a nice badge on the arm marking 1902-2012 that looks really nice.

Feel

This jersey, like all Adidas jerseys, is extremely comfortable and soft. It is made of 100 percent polyester and features climacool technology. This will help keep you cool and comfortable while you are supporting Madrid. In order to allow your body to breathe, Adidas has put mesh under the arms to allow air movement. This jersey fits true to size and the collar is a V-neck instead of a collar, so you don’t have a irritating collar to worry about.

Overall

If you are a fan of Real Madrid, you should head over to SoccerPro.com today and grab one of these in preparation for the new season. It looks great, is extremely comfortable, and helps commemorate 110 years of Real Madrid being a club. Now that they are back to winning trophies, hopefully they will be able to be crowned champions of Europe once again while wearing these sleek jerseys.
