Home / Soccer Fans / Adebayor Loan Move to Real Madrid to be Done Soon

Real Madrid finally appear to be sealing a loan move for a striker. According to Goal.com, Manchester city outcast and Togolese international Emmanuel Adebayor is expected to complete a 6 month loan move to Los Blancos to provide reinforcement for the wildly inconsistent Karim Benzema. Since Adebayor has not appeared in the Champions League (largely due to the fact his current side are not involved in the prestigious competition, details), the 26-year-old hitman will be available to Jose Mourinho’s side in European play. Once again, this would spell another disastrous spell for a former top-tier caliber player at the Eastlands and hopefully a revitalized career in any place besides that of where they don a Manchester City jersey.

I can definitely see Adebayor making a more permanent move to Real once the loan period ends. His style would be suited well for La Liga play, as he has power, a bit of pace, and lethal finishing. Plus, he can win balls in the air, a huge point lacking in Madrid’s side right now (besides the fact they are simply worse than Barcelona). Overall, not too shabby a move for either party. I’m hoping this deal goes through without a hitch. Maybe Real will have a chance to compete with Barcelona then…well probably not. Oh well.
