Inter Milan have had some major struggles to begin the new Serie A season. Three games into the Italian season and they only have one point and just fired their coach, Gian Piero Gasperini. To say it has been a rough start would be an understatement. However, even if their play is not looking good at least their training apparel is. The new Nike Inter Milan jacket is a great design to wear to support your team and hopefully Claudio Ranieri can bring some life back into the Inter Milan team.
Style
No one can accuse this new Inter Milan jacket of being too bland. Nike has brought in a new design that looks great. This jacket is made up of gray and black argyle diamonds all over. The collar, sleeve cuffs, and waist band are all solid black to contrast the argyle design. In order to incorporate the standard blue and black design, the jacket also features solid royal blue lines that run down each sleeve. The Inter Milan crest is stitched on to the left chest while the Nike swoosh is stitched on the right chest. The back of the jacket has Inter heat pressed in blue so everyone can see who you support. The design of the Inter words are dotted which is similar to the Nike numbers that are used with national teams, such as the United States. The cuffs of the sleeves as well as the waist band are elastic to help keep wind out and keep you warmer during the cold months.
Fit
This jacket is extremely comfortable and warm. It is a cotton/polyester mix which makes it very soft yet durable so you can wear it for years to come. The collar, when zipped up, is almost like a turtleneck. However, this collar is not itchy or stiff so you will not feel uncomfortable or constricted when it is zipped up all the way. This jacket does run a little small so I would recommend a size up to be safe. As I said before, this jacket is extremely warm so it is nice for the winter months when you can’t wear a jersey but still want to support your team.
Overall
This new Nike jacket sticks to the classic colors of Inter Milan, but does it in an unconventional method. Overall the jacket is primarily black and blue but the argyle design helps add some life into a jacket that could be extremely boring given the colors of the side. This jacket looks great, is extremely comfortable, and is not a bad price at $84.99. When Nike jerseys cost $79.99, you can get a great looking jacket that can be worn a lot more for just a little more money, which isn’t a bad deal. If you are an Inter Milan fan that wants a different look while supporting your team, this is the jacket for you.
