Rumor has it that Chelsea has its eye on some huge players during the summer transfer season. With big names like Kaka, David Villa, Luka Modric, and Neymar having talks with the Premier league giants, things are looking up for the Blues. The new away jersey for the guys at Stamford Bridge looks awesome. Still black like last years, but with a new twist, the adidas Chelsea Away Jersey for the 2011/12 season is essential for Chelsea fans.

Design: Blue squares fall from the collar down to the Samsung sponsor screen print, fading into the black of the jersey. Definitely a unique design by adidas that could inspire even more crazy ideas. White adidas stripes come down the sleeves, and on the end of the sleeve is a thin blue stripe. Chelsea has been playing around with some interesting choices for jerseys in the past couple of years, and I admire their creativity. There’s really no other jersey like it, at least that I’ve seen. Definitely thinking about getting this one.  Grade: A

Features: ClimaCool material is kind of a slick polyester that should be extremely light and cool. Definitely a very comfortable jersey. Mesh panels underneath the arms and on the shoulders should offer a bit better airflow within the jersey, and also allow sweat out. With the embroidered patch on the left chest just like the players, someone may mistake you for Chelsea’s newest prospect! But seriously, great quality jersey. Definitely a fan of the material. Most of the jerseys that I own have a much heavier material than this one. Grade: A-

Finishing top 3 in the Premier League more times than not, Chelsea doesn’t mess around, and neither does their away kit. Definitely a good buy for any Chelsea fan. Most already have the home jersey, and with a unique design that may only be around for a year, this away jersey will be in limited supply.
