It seems the friendly between the men in Holland jerseys and those feisty Uruguayan’s wasn’t too friendly at all as one Diego Lugano made an attempt to lop van Persie’s leg off with this two footed horror of a tackle. The ref felt the challenge was fair, and didn’t even award a free kick to Holland, and van Persie managed to limp off and cry in the corner. Even Nigel De Jong looked shocked by the refs decision to let the challenge slide. I know its only a friendly, but for me it was a red card offense.
