Germany’s Kerstin Garefrekes missed this open goal last night in their game versus Canada, and I have to say it one of the worst I’ve seen in either men’s or women’s soccer for some time. As you can see, after a beautiful pass comes in from the right and the goalie comes off her line, all Garefrekes has to do is walk it in. Sadly, she opted to sky the ball over das crossbar to the jeers of the Canadian fans. I mean honestly, my granny would have put this one in, hopefully the ladies in USA women’s jerseys can do better versus DPRK today…
