Ever Start a Fight with Your Team Captain Over a Penalty….These Two Did…(Video)

Have you ever started a fight with your team captain over who will take a penalty? Did it degenerate into a scuffle that got both of you booked after you had to be separated by teammates? Yeah, me neither, but lets face it the sight of these two bamboozling each other in the middle of a professional match is hilarious, and something I haven’t seen since middle school.

Danny Forrest Scores 92nd Minute Winner from Halfway Line off the Restart for Guiseley…(Video)

Lets us take a trip for a moment to the cold rainy glen of North Yorkshire where Guiseley and Harrogate Railway are contesting the West Riding County Cup. Its 3-3, and Harrowgate have just scored a 91st minute equalizer to send the match to send the match to extra time. But then, up steps Danny Forrest to take the restart. The forward passes it to him, he lines it up, and shoot the ball high and curling through the night sky passed into the back of the Harrowgate net for a 52 yard wonder goal…

adidas Tiro 11 Fleece Jacket - Black

adidas Tiro 11 Fleece Jacket – Black Review

Are you in need of a quality pull-over that you can wear while training in the cold? We have the perfect answer to your needs with the Tiro 11 Fleece jacket. The all black look is sleek and looks great. However, the truly great thing about this fleece is the comfort and warmth that it provides that will leave you happy all winter-long.

Style
As I said above, this fleece is all black with three white stripes that go down each sleeve. It also features white under the arms and in the front where the pockets are normally placed. However, the one noticeable omission to this otherwise perfect fleece is the lack of pockets. Everyone loves pockets and that does take away a little bit. Now let’s get back to what the jacket does have. It is a quarter zip and when zipped all the way up it is almost like a turtleneck which is nice for when it gets really cold. The sleeve cuffs are elastic to help keep wind out in order to keep you warm. Lastly, the waistline has a draw string that helps tighten the bottom up to help keep wind and rain out. All of these things help to keep you warm and comfortable during the season.

Feel
This jacket is made out of 100% polyester and is one of the softest and most comfortable fleece I have ever worn. It features a climawarm technology and trust me; it does its job and then some. Climawarm helps to keep warm air in while still circulating air movement enough so that you do not get too hot. It works perfectly to keep you at the right temperature while you are training in the cold. It is also extremely light so you will not feel weighed down like you do when you keep layering clothes to keep warm. With this fleece, you will never be able to say you are too cold while training outdoors.

Overall
This fleece is one of the best on the market. It will keep you extremely warm while not overheating you but more importantly it will not weigh you down while you are training. Another nice thing about these is that if you are ordering as a team, SoccerPro offers discounts depending on how many you purchase for your particular team. At $59.99, it is well worth the money to stay warm and comfortable during those awful outdoor training sessions in the winter.

Kid Delivers Immaculate Flip Throw to the Face During Youth Soccer Game…(Video)

All I can really say is I’m glad I wasn’t on the end of this belt of a flip throw from Paul Ladd, who manages to nail a kid from Thetford in the face during this D3 championship game.

Ouch…

Bender Impact

Accrington Stanley Match Abandoned After Tom Bender Concussion

Last nights match between Accrington Stanley and Tranmere was abandoned after the 39th minute following a serious injury to Tom Bender. Bender, a Accrington defender, was pursuing a high ball in to the box with an unnamed Tranmere striker right behind him when Accrington’s goalie, Ian Dubavin, also came out to punch the ball. Apparently, through a lack of communication, Dunbavin went to punch the ball as Bender went to head it and all it took as an accidental nudge from the Tranmere striker to push Bender’s head into the path of Dunbavin’s fist.

Bender immediately fell to the ground unconscious and medical treatment was called for. He was worked on by medics for over half an hour before being stretchered out of the stadium on an IV, and taken to a Blackburn hospital, accompanied by his father who had travelled from Essex to watch the game. Initially, it was feared Bender had broken his neck, but scans have revealed he only has a severe concussion.

“I don’t think anyone was interested in the game after he went in the ambulance,” said Reds chief executive Rob Heys.

“Credit to Tranmere, I don’t think any of their fans or players were too concerned about it being called off either.

“The medical staff at the ground stabilised his condition and the paramedics took him over the Royal Blackburn Hospital.

“We’ve got a very experienced club doctor who has been with us for 10 years and hopefully that’s done enough to see Tom right.”

Stanley manager John Coleman said: “Their striker was trying to get the ball.

“He was eager and it led to Tom’s momentum going on to a full-blooded punch from Bavs.

“It was like double the force and the fact Tom didn’t move when he hit the floor is a concern. The lads immediately knew something was wrong and waved the physio over straight away.

“The physio admitted it was scary. They didn’t want to move Tom and we just had to wait for the ambulance to arrive, which obviously took some time.

“His dad was here watching and he has gone to hospital with Tom so he is close at hand.

“He is now in the safest hands and we’ve just got to hope and pray everything is okay.”

All of the staff here at soccerprose.com hope Bender can return to football soon, and wish him all the best in his recovery.

Electric Wheel Chair Pitch Invader

Northampton play down at the bottom end of League Two, and aren’t really know for much. In fact, they have been drifting down the League Two table towards relegation for weeks. However, they managed a last minute equalizer against Rotterham last night, and then something I’ve never seen before happened….an electric wheel chair riding pitch invader.

A Daily Mail reproter managed to get an interview with 18-year-old quadriplegic computer programmer Derry Felton, the man in the wheelchair, after the game:

“I said to my mate, ‘If [Northampton] score I will go on the pitch’, but I didn’t believe that they would. Then they did and it was a bit of a blur really.

“I didn’t know what was happening and then I was in the middle of the pitch and I just thought how did I get here?

“It was just a spur of the moment thing and I never thought it would end up on You Tube or make me famous or anything.

“I don’t know if I would ever do it again, because it just sort of happened.”

Fair play to you Mr. Felton….fair play…

A Very Dirty Tackle From the World of Amateur Soccer

Amateur soccer is not always known for the best quality or cleanest play, but this tackle has to take the cake for the worst one. I’ve seen a few bad ones in my day, slide tackles from, shoulders under the chin, the quick kick to the kneecap, but this player is just brazen. All credit to the guardian.co.uk for this one, and I hope his soccer socks were padded. It seems that this club who were previously known for cutting grass around their touchline, now have another badge of honor to display in the club house, or local pub.
